NELFUND Releases Procedure for Programme, Institution Change
NELFUND Issues Guidelines for Change of Programme and Institution Among Beneficiaries Reports gathered from Lagos State University indicate that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has released official procedures for beneficiaries seeking to process a change of programme/course or institution. According to the information obtained, students intending to make such changes are required to submit their requests through the designated NELFUND Desk Officer in their respective institutions, in line with the outlined requirements. Findings reveal that applicants must submit a formal request letter addressed to their institution, clearly stating the nature of the request, whether it is a change of institution or a change of programme/course of study. Further details gathered show that the body of the letter must contain complete and accurate information, including the old and new matriculation numbers, old and new JAMB registration numbers, Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number (NIN), Loan Application ID, as well as an active phone number and email address. On the mode of submission, it was gathered that the request letter must be properly typed, signed, and scanned in PDF format before being forwarded to the institutional email designated for records. Alternatively, a signed hard copy may be submitted, depending on the preference of the Desk Officer. In addition, applicants are required to attach supporting documents, including admission letters and JAMB admission letters from both the previous and the new institution or programme. Students have been advised to strictly comply with these guidelines to avoid delays in processing their requests. For further clarification, beneficiaries are encouraged to contact the NELFUND Desk Office in their respective institutions.
